Marching Band Entry Form
In order to be fully accepted, the application must be completed in whole. Please read the instructions carefully and sign where requested. Rules that all marching bands must follow to participate in the Greeley Independence Stampede Parade are as follows:
- Applications must be received by June 1, 2008.
- NO WATER MAY BE SQUIRTED OR ANY OBJECTS THROWN INTO THE CROWD.
- No political signs of any kind may be part of the band's entry.
- Motor vehicles cannot be part of the band entry.
- UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN A BAND STOP TO PERFORM! Due to televising of the parade, bands are expected to march forward at the established pace at ALL times. There are NO exceptions to this rule.
- Band directors must follow the directions of the parade marshal.
- The Stampede Parade Committee will withhold any payment due to any band if Rule #5 above is violated (forward motion).
- The Greeley Independence Stampede does not allow any chaperones to march with the band in the televised coverage area, which is on 10th Avenue from 19th Street to Cranford Place. For those chaperones that will be marching with the band, please make plans to join your group on Cranford Place, after they have exited the television zone.
- The Stampede Parade Committee reserves the right to modify the rules at any time to assist in the administration of the event. The committee reserves the right to accept any entry or delete any entry it deems necessary.
