Community Involvement

In addition to hosting one of the nations top festivals, the Stampede knows the importance of being a partner in the community. This dedication allows our partners to benefit from the positive impact of the Greeley Stampede.

The Stampede is a member of many Chambers of Commerce throughout Northern Colorado. The Stampede annually attends many Business After Hours functions as well hosting some in key locations. Trade shows are also a common place for the Stampede to find new customers and chat with our returning guests.

As the event draws closer, the Stampede is more directly involved in the community. Since the Greeley Stampede is a celebration of family fun, the Stampede enhances the quality of life through a variety of programs such as the introduction of "Bucky" our longhorn mascot.

The Stampede annually contributes funds to charitable organizations who volunteer at the event. Last year more than $210,000 was given to regional non-profit organizations.

The Stampede is proud to be an award-winning event from a local to international scale.

Economic Impact

The Greeley Stampede is a western celebration offering something for nearly everyone -- it's easy to be overwhelmed by the many activities and events and lose track of how important the Stampede really is to our community.

The Stampede has worked vigorously with the Greeley City Council on the importance of the Stampede to the community and the impact it has on the economy. With a reported $52.375 million economic impact (source: International Festivals & Events Association), the Stampede is an outstanding economic resource for the community of Greeley.

Community Organizations

With the tremendous amount of volunteer force provided by the Wranglers, Inc., the Stampede is still able to utilize the help of community organizations to help put on the Stampede. The great part about this partnership is the direct financial benefit that goes back to many non-profit organizations including church groups, service clubs, booster clubs and more. Last year, the Stampede contributed more than $200,000 to local groups.

If your group or organization is interesting in participating with the Stampede as a fund-raiser, please contact the Stampede office.

Stampede Provides Scholarships

The Greeley Stampede has awarded a scholarship to every high school in Weld and Larimer Counties. More than $20,000 in scholarships is awarded annually! The program runs through the Stampede Foundation, a 501c3 organization formed to achieve the educational goals of the Greeley Stampede. The scholarship committee received more than 100 outstanding applicants from the 21 schools in both counties. It was a difficult process, but the Stampede is pleased to have another outstanding group of young adults.

Students who wish to apply for a scholarship should contact the Stampede office at 970-356-SPUR or click here to go to the applications page.
