Bucky - The Greeley Stampede Mascot

On April 22, 2003, BUCKY was born in the Monfort Family Birth Center at North Colorado Medical Center. The media event was complete with a viewing behind glass of BUCKY in the nursery, bubblegum "It's a BULL" cigars with a BUCKY wrap, birth certificate, ultra-sound and a visit to the children's ward to hand out BUCKY t-shirts and gifts to the kids.

During the event BUCKY became an ambassador for the event who more than anything enhanced the event for Stampede goers - especially the kids. Children flocked to BUCKY during the event, so much so that it was hard to make his way around the Stampede Arena or grounds because of the masses of kids coming to get an up-close and personal experience with their favorite new bull! BUCKY was featured in the daily parade around the park, during rodeos and concerts, throughout the food court and wondering around the carnival midway. BUCKY handed out miscellaneous toys and goodies to the kids throughout the event as well, in an effort to make the family experience at the event better than expected.
