Kelly Clarkson & Collin Raye complete the 2005 Stampede Concert Series
Joining the 2005 Stampede Concert Series is Fox TV's first American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, on July 4th before fireworks cap off the 2005 Greeley Stampede. Multi-platinum artist Collin Raye will be taking the place of Chris Cagle on July 3 as part of the Stampede Stars & Spurs Package. Due to scheduling conflicts, Cagle will now open for Brooks & Dunn on June 24.
The Stampede is proud to announce that Kelly Clarkson will be taking center stage on July 4th. Clarkson's career has taken off since she became the first winner of Fox TV's American Idol in 2002. Her first album, "Thankful," is certified double-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. Her #1 album included her single "A Moment Like This," which set the record for the biggest leap to the top in the history of the Hot 100 when it rocketed from 52nd to number 1. "Thankful" also includes the top 10 hit "Miss Independent" which made her a 2004 Grammy nominee for Best Female Pop Vocal, and the radio hits "Low" and "The Trouble With Love Is," from the soundtrack to "Love Actually." Her new album, Breakaway, is climbing the charts fast. Clarkson's two singles, "Since U Been Gone" and "Breakaway," are currently on the Top 10 of Billboards Hot 100.
On July 3rd, the Stampede Arena will be rockin' when Collin Raye hits the stage. Raye will be a part of the 2005 Stampede Stars & Spurs package. Collin Raye has seen 23 of his previous 25 singles hit the top 10, with 15 of them hitting #1. Additionally, five of his nine albums have been certified Platinum. He has had such hits as "Little Rock," "Love Me," and "Couldn't Last a Moment" just to name a few. Four of his singles are included on CMT's Top 100 Videos of All Time. Collin Raye has been nominated for numerous Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music (ACM) awards and has won the ACM Video of the Year for his smash hit "I Think About You."
The Stampede Stars & Spurs Package, an unbelievable deal for one low price, features the July 2 LeAnn Rimes with Dierks Bentley concert, the July 3 Collin Raye with Jimmy Wayne concert and the July 3 Pro Rodeo. Ticket purchasers are able to get all three events for just $47.00. These two concerts will be sold separately in mid-May.
This year's Stampede opening night concert just got even better with the addition of Chris Cagle. Cagle will now open for Brooks & Dunn on June 24th. He is a blue collar, working class country singer who's not afraid to sweat or get loud. He is best known for producing hit songs like "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out," "What a Beautiful Day," and "Chicks Dig It," to name a few. Cagle won the inaugural fan-voted CMT Flameworthy "Breakthrough Video of the Year Award" in 2002 and has since had several Top 15 hits on the Country Singles chart.
Corral West/Wrangler Entertainment on the K99 Free Stage
You have seen him on Fox network's American Idol 2 and this summer you
can see Josh Gracin at the Stampede. Josh Gracin was previously
scheduled to open for Brooks & Dunn, but will now be free to the public
on the K99 Free Stage on June 24 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. The former U.S.
Marine has enjoyed his success with his debut album, which includes
great songs like "Turn it Up" and "I Want to Live." His single, "Nothin
to Lose," is currently on CMT's Top 20 Countdown.
Also signed to join the K99 Free Stage on June 25 is up and comer Lane Turner. Turner's kind of music - ramped up Texas dancehall music packed with energy and emotion - fills his Warner Bros. debut Right On Time. Turner wrote 10 of the 11 songs, and he's road-tested them all. Full of dance floor romps like "Outside Looking In" to tear-in-your-beer ballads like "Happy Hour" to jaunty swingers like "Smoke and Mirrors" and "King of Pain," to the mysteriously sexy "Always Wanting More (Breathless)"; Turner's debut album is a neon-lit, boot-scooting thrill ride.
On June 26, Restless Heart, owners of three gold-selling albums which produced seven number one singles in a row, a dozen Grammy, Country Music Association, and Academy of Country Music (ACM) nominations and ACM's Vocal Group of the Year in 1990 will be on the K99 Free Stage from 6:00pm- 8:00pm. Their hits included "I'll Still Be Loving You," "Tender Lie," "Why Does It Have To Be (Wrong or Right)," "When She Cries," "Bluest Eyes In Texas," and "Dancy's Dream. After dissolving in 1996, Restless Heart is back together again and will be in Greeley with all the original members; Larry Stewart, Paul Gregg, John Dittrich, Dave Innis and Greg Jennings.
