Stampede '05 Search for the Gold Prizes Awarded

The Greeley Stampede awarded the 10 finalists for the "Search for the Gold" pin program prizes today! The pin program was created by the Stampede to raise money for the Stampede Foundation scholarship fund. Every high school in Weld and Larimer County is annually awarded a scholarship. Last year more than $20,000 in scholarships was awarded!

Greeley Stampede goers "Searched for the Gold" prior to, and throughout the 2005 Greeley Stampede celebration by purchasing a $2 envelope containing a commemorative Greeley Stampede pin enclosed. If a gold colored pin was found, the pin buyer was entered in the July 2 drawing for 10 finalists. Proceeds from the pin program benefit the Stampede Foundation Scholarship Program, so was for a great cause as well!
