Merchandise Customer Service Rep

2020 Position Overview

The Merchandise Customer Service Representative is a seasonal position responsible for providing support to the Greeley Stampede Merchandise Program with specific emphasis on event sales at the Greeley Stampede event. This position is ideal for a high school or college student seeking project-based work experience.

Essential Job Functions

  • Direct sales and customer service to Stampede guests
  • Inventory preparations and control
  • Souvenir booth inventory maintenance and booth preparations
  • Cash control and reports

Minimum Qualifications

  • Computer skills and experience including Microsoft Office Products
  • Oral and written communications skills
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness, combined with a very strong team-oriented approach to work

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently; ability to present verbal and written material to media representatives and the general public
  • Previous retail and customer service experience a plus

Work Schedule

The Stampede Merchandise Customer Service Representative position is a seasonal hourly non-exempt position that is scheduled to work from the 2-3 days prior to the Greeley Stampede event (June 24 - July 5) through the conclusion of the event. The position requires flexible scheduling of work to accommodate peak times.
  • June, prior to the event: 5-10 hours
  • Event: 35-40+ hours per week, including weekends and July 4

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly rate of $12.00
  • No other benefits apply
