Rules and Submission
Participants must be a Weld County high school senior (Class of 2020) or junior (Class of 2021).
An online entry form must be submitted prior to or on the same day the art is delivered to the Greeley Stampede office.
One piece of original art per student will be displayed and judged. All genres and mediums are accepted.
The art must be original and completed independently.
All two-dimensional art must be ready to hang with appropriate hardware. Picture hanging hardware (i.e., sawtooth hanger, steel D ring) can be found at framing stores or stores such as Hobby Lobby and Michaels.
The Stampede Foundation will have the right to exhibit or publish the art and the names of the students in print, voice, or visual media.
Deliver the art in person to the Greeley Stampede office, 600 N. 14th Ave., Greeley, CO 80631 on June 8-12, 2020. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Mail art to the above address, "Attn: Young Trailblazers Art Competition." Allow time for delivery by Monday, June 8, 2020.
Scholarship finalists will be notified the week of June 15th, 2020, and winners will be announced at the Stampede Western Invitational Gala on June 23, 2020.
Art will be available for pickup at the Island Grove Event Center on July 6 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Art will not be returned by mail. The Greeley Stampede is not responsible for art not picked up. For pickup after July 6, please contact the main office. 970-356-7787
Art is left at the student's risk. The Greeley Stampede is not responsible for loss or damage.
Art submissions will be disqualified if the rules and submission process are not met.
Recognizing that art is an individual representation of a person's thoughts and vision, the Greeley Stampede Foundation does not wish to censor the work of any one artist. The Foundation does, however, respectfully reserve the right to determine if the work submitted is appropriate for display.
Three (3) scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded. These scholarships will be sent directly to the higher education institute chosen. Scholarships can only be deferred for one year after high school graduation.
