American Bull Fighting featuring Colorado Regulators

Thank you for helping the 101st Greeley Stampede one to remember! Keep checking back here and on Facebook to find information about the 2024 Greeley Stampede.
Freestyle bull fighting has always been a crowd favorite at rodeos and special events. In the last decade the focus has been on the bull riders and the bulls with the unsung heroes going without events that will showcase their “tools of the trade” and unmatched skills.

This is truly man against beast, with our modern day gladiators risking everything in a ninety second match.

The rodeo athletes are judged on how well they maneuver around a Mexican fighting bull. Death defying feats are attempted such as jumping over a bull and staying within inches of the bull’s head.

Colorado Regulators - Mounted Shooters

Cowboy Mounted Shooting is the fastest growing equestrian sport in the nation. Contestants compete in this fast action timed event using two .45 caliber single action revolvers, that must be cocked each time before firing by drawing the hammer back. Each revolver is loaded with five rounds of specially prepared blank ammunition which have no projectile and therefore is completely safe for spectators to watch. Contestants must dress in traditional western style or old-time style of the late 1800’s. Any horse or mule is allowed to compete in this sport. There are over fifty possible patterns included, and a random draw determines which patterns will be used for the competition. There are a variety of levels of competition for everyone, ranging from novice levels to the seasoned professional. It is a true family sport as even the little ones can compete as wranglers, who do not shoot, but learn the horsemanship and safety regulations to grow into shooting contestants.

Arena Safety

American Bull Fighting is a clear bag event. Before you come to enjoy your rodeo, make sure all of your belongings can fit within a clear bag that does not exceed 12" long x 6" wide x 12" high.
