Drone Show

As part of the iconic Greeley Stampede, experience a one-of-a-kind nighttime spectacle with a special drone show— Stories in the Sky, a signature initiative of the America 250 - Colorado 150 Commission. Hundreds of illuminated drones take flight to create stunning, animated scenes high above the Stampede grounds, blending cutting-edge technology with Western spirit and community pride. The series is supported by Chevron, Tallgrass, UCHealth, and the Colorado Lottery, in partnership with the Colorado Tourism Office.

Choreographed to music from John Denver, this 10–14 minute show celebrates both Colorado’s 150th anniversary of statehood and America’s 250th anniversary. Look to the sky for vibrant imagery inspired by Colorado’s landscapes, heritage and the rich traditions of the Stampede, woven together with moments that honor our shared national story.
