PAINT AND PLAY AT THE GREELEY STAMPEDE

05/02/2018

PAINT AND PLAY AT THE GREELEY STAMPEDE

Each year the Greeley Stampede strives to offer fresh events and ideas to keep fans on their toes. In 2018, that effort has been taken to a-whole-new level with two exciting events that you do not want to miss. Adventurous guests have the opportunity to play at the Greeley Stampede by participating in the all new Cowboy Games: a cowboy themed obstacle course to test both fitness and teamwork. Additionally, creative guests have the chance to explore their artistic side at the Greeley Stampede with an all new paint and sip experience titled, Brushes & Bulls.

The Cowboy Games Presented by Banner Health

Gather your team of five people to compete in the Cowboy Games to see which team can complete the course the fastest. Obstacles are designed to test strength, stamina, and skill in ways similar to tasks of the American cowboy on the ranch. The Cowboy Games are designed to promote teamwork and physical fitness, and to increase the general public’s knowledge of the skills and athleticism of the cowboy. Prizes will be awarded for the fastest obstacle, best competitive spirit, hard luck team, and best dressed team. The team to complete the entire course the fastest will walk away with a VIP Stampede experience package, a genuine championship belt, and an OtterBox Venture 45 cooler with an Elevation Tumbler.

The Cowboy Games are slated to take place on Saturday, June 23rd on the lawn just south of the carnival beginning at 12:00pm. Obstacles include hurdles where teams crawl under or climb over livestock panels and haystacks, water troughs where teams haul pails of water to fill up the tanks, and more! A $100 team registration fee benefits the Greeley Stampede Foundation as well as the winning team's non-profit of choice.

Learn more about the Cowboy Games and sign up your team by visiting www.greeleystampede.org/p/cowboy-games. Registration closes Friday, June 15th.

Brushes & Bulls

Join us for an evening of painting, sipping, and bull fighting on Monday, June 25th. Paint the “Majestic Bovine” with step by step instruction from Pinot's Pallet, sip from the free wine tasting provided by Coral Bay Wine and Spirits, then relax and enjoy American Bull Fighting action in the Stampede arena for a full evening at the Stampede! American Bull Fighting is a freestyle bull fighting event where cowboy athletes showcase their skills and are judged on how well they maneuver around a fighting bull in a dramatic display of talent and bravery.

This exclusive event is only offered to the first 75 painters to purchase tickets and will be located in the Bunkhouse area. Tickets for Brushes & Bulls are $50 each and include upgraded parking, two hours of painting instruction, complimentary wine tastings by Coral Bay Wine and Spirits, and one ticket to the American Bull Fighting event.
