New Opportunities Available at the Greeley Stampede for 2017

The Greeley Stampede is now looking for applicants for several seasonal positions for the 2017 Greeley Stampede to be held Friday, June 23rd through Tuesday, July 4th.

Outrider Ambassador Program

The Outrider Ambassador Program functions as a college level internship for students interested in the event and festival, hospitality, and rodeo industries. Outriders will support event promotions including community engagement, special events, and rodeo activities to support the Greeley Stampede objectives and goals. They will also serve as event ambassadors at community networking events and assist with VIP guests during the event.

The Outrider Ambassador Program is a seasonal hourly non-exempt paid internship program with scheduled hours beginning April 3rd, 2017 and ending on July 7th, 2017. The Outriders will work approximately 10 hours per month in April; 10-20 hours per week in May through mid-June; and full-time from mid-June until July 7. All college and university students enrolled in institutions are eligible to apply, although those students majoring in communications, hospitality, agriculture or equine studies may benefit most.

Seasonal Support Staff

The Support Staff is responsible for assisting with special projects and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Stampede staff. Support Staff personnel will assist with vendor, parade, and participant packets, banner inventory and displaying, the Greeley Stampede merchandise program, and marketing campaign distribution among other tasks assigned under the supervision of the Office Operations Manager.

Support Staff is a seasonal hourly non-exempt position that is scheduled to work from May 1st, 2017 through approximately July 12th, 2017. The Support Staff will work approximately 10 hours per week in May; 20-40 hours per week in June through the event; and 4-10 hours per week post-event.

ABOUT THE GREELEY STAMPEDE: The Greeley Stampede, a 501(c)4 nonprofit corporation, is the Colorado’s premiere summer western celebration. This longstanding event has grown in diversity and popularity since its inception and has provided music and rodeo entertainment to hundreds of thousands of people every summer. The Stampede was inducted in the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame in 2014 and the event was named 2015 Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) Mountain States Large Rodeo of the Year.
