STAMPEDE DAY
FOUR: AND THE HIT’S JUST KEEP ON COMIN’!
June
29, 2014 (GREELEY, CO) The Greeley Stampede was back at it for another full day
of carnival, food and GREAT music, not necessarily in that order.
The
Pancake Breakfast kicked off the day with a grateful crowd of consumers
indulging in fine cuisine of pancakes, eggs and sausages. Many
participants made their way to the Stampede Arena to take in Cowboy Church with
Pastor Shorty and his guests Buddy Jewel and Gospel Trail Ministries.
The
park opened at 11:00 and all of the festival activities got after it.
Food court was hoppin’ with the new options like Walking Dorito Taco is with
Doritos Nacho cheese chips in the bag (thus making it easy to walk around and
eat) with chicken or beef, beans, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and cheese from
Nana’s Bar-B-Q, tender smoked pork from Hungry Hal’s Bar-B-Q and Roadshow and
too many more to mention.
At
1:00 pm the PRCA PRO Rodeo took care of “Binnus” with Hadley Barrett and Will
Rasmussen announcing, Rockin’ Robbie Hodges entertaining and Bull Fighters
Lance Brittan, Lloyd Ketchum, and Wacey Munsell getting between the bulls and
the cowboys. There were about 4,600 in attendance at the Rodeo to witness
all of the cowboys and cowgirls feats of bravery. See the attached results
list.
The
Free Stage featured one talented band after another. The Centennial Village
captured the hearts and minds of all visitors with their Living History events
which included: A Tomahawk Throw, a Historic Home Tour, Showdown at Centennial
Village a glimpse into what would have happened in a shootout between the
lawful and lawless, and many more activities.
Billy Currington with special guests LoCash Cowboys worked
the audience like a Slack Key guitar with a beach party twist while the 9,500 fans found out
that “People Are Crazy,” and “That’s How Country Boys Roll.”
Up
on for Monday, June 30th wear pink to show you are “Tough Enough To
Wear Pink” to support Breast Cancer Awareness. Then come out for all of
the activities and the second day of PRCA Pro Rodeo action starting at 7:00 pm
in the Stampede Arena.
