The Greeley Stampede together with the Greeley Art Association will continue the tradition of showcasing western art during the annual community celebration. The annual Stampede Western Art Exhibition and sale will feature nationally acclaimed, returning, Legacy, local and youth artists. Entrance to the 12-day exhibit during the Greeley Stampede, is included with park admission and will be open during park hours until 9pm daily in the Island Grove Events Center lobby.


2026 Dates


May 8 (Friday) - Final entries due

June 19 and 20 (Friday & Saturday) - Hand delivered art to the Island Grove Event Center 9:00-12:00 noon both days.

No late artwork will be accepted

June 23 (Tuesday) - Kick-off Opening Reception (free parking)
June 24 (Wednesday) - Stampede starts – parking and admission fees required.
July 5 (Sunday) - Last day for celebration
July 6 (Monday) - Pick up art at Island Grove Event Center 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon.


General Entry

A non-refundable entry fee (per artist; youth entry is free when proper payment option is selected) of $50.00 for up to 3 juried pieces. You may also have up to 5 unframed artworks (no additional charge) in the bin area. Unframed art must be labeled, priced, and should be protected in clear bags. Maximum bin size 16” x 20”. Prints are allowed.

Eligibility and Requirements:
  • Works must be original and not have been entered in this show previously or be created in a class under tutelage. No kits or patterns used in fine craft.
  • Giclees, enhanced digital artwork, photography, lithographs are not eligible.
  • Art must be for sale.
  • A 30% commission on sales (70% of sale price to artist).
  • Two-dimensional entries must be framed, dry and wired for hanging (no saw tooth hangers or exposed glass edges.) Finished gallery wrap canvas with wire hanger is acceptable.
  • Entry size is limited to 36” x 44” framed (outside frame), or 80 united inches (length plus width)
  • Sculptors are responsible for the installation of their pieces. Pedestals are available at show.
  • No early removal of artwork
  • Submission is permission to use art for promotion
  • Final accepted determination at delivery by hanging committee

Youth Entry

All Weld County high school students (9-12th grade) are invited to enter one piece for free in the art show. Use YOUTH in the code box for free entry. In addition to the Stampede scholarship program, youth artists are eligible to win art awards. Art show youth will be juried to top 8 submissions to display at the exhibition for no entry fee. Art Awards will be given: First place $500.00, Second place $250, Third place $200 and 4-8 place $100 each. Art must be for sale and 30% art commission applies.
