Scholarship Program


Selection Criteria

  • A student graduating from a Weld County High School in spring 2019
  • Involvement in school and community leadership activities
  • Grade Point Average (Minimum cumulative of 3.50)
  • Financial need may be considered
  • For art scholarship, please contact your art instructor

Scholarship Awards

  • Payable to the financial aid office where the recipient will be attending, in the name of the recipient
  • Scholarship amount will be paid in two equal payments per semester.
  • No cash paid directly to the student
  • Payment will be made to the college or university by September 1, 2019 or upon receiving written verification of acceptance
  • Scholarship must be used during the 2019/2020 school year
  • Scholarship may not be carried over and is non-renewable (special circumstances may be considered)
  • Scholarships will be applicable to any institution of higher education

Important Application Dates

  • Application deadline or before 4:00 p.m. February 15, 2019
  • Review/selection period February 16th through April 12th, 2019
  • Applicants will be notified by April 20th, 2019


Art Scholarship Information


Weld County High School Seniors (Class of 2019) and Juniors (Class of 2020) are invited to enter a piece of art in the Greeley Stampede Foundation’s “Young Trailblazer Art Competition.” The submitted art will be exhibited during the Greeley Stampede’s 20th annual Western Invitational Art Exhibit & Sale, June 26 – July 7, 2019. Art will be judged by professional artists and two $2500 college scholarships will be awarded!

Want to Contribute to the Scholarship Fund?
The Stampede Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization formed to support continuing education for Weld County students. The Greeley Stampede produces and hosts annual events, including the Big Buckle Ball, Western Art Show and the Stampede Golf Tournament, to benefit the scholarship fund.Since the inception of the program in 1994, the Stampede Foundation has given more than $370,000 in scholarships to over 500 Northern Colorado students.
