STAMPEDE DAY SIX: KIDS AND COMMUNITY DAY!

July 1, 2014 (GREELEY, CO) The weather was perfect for the sixth day of the Greeley Stampede, which was designated as Kids and Community Day to honor both kids and the community-at-large.

Kids and Community Day was a way for the Stampede to show appreciation by discounting Rodeo Tickets, Carnival Wristbands, and even provide 2 for 1 beverages from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

The main feature of the day was the PRCA Pro Rodeo, which started at 7:00 p.m. to a crowd of around 4,800 ooing and aahing fans. The action was heightened by Saddle Bronc Rider Ty Kirkland with a score of 83. See the attached list of all aggregate scores, placement, and times for the first three Rodeos.

Inside Centennial Village daily activities are free with park admission and include a living history approach to historical events like traditional western foods, tomahawk throwing,  The activity’s descriptions, specifics and times can be found online or on the Stampede App.

Tomorrow on the Big Country 97.9 Free Stage an entire line up of concerts starts at 4:00 pm, with country artist and star from One Tree Hill, Jana Kramer singin live and in person starting at about 10:30pm.

Rodeo continues tomorrow on Wild West Wednesday at 7:00 pm. Come dressed in western wear for a discounted admission. Don’t miss out on the great food, the carnival rides, and the variety of activities that go on during the entire evening. Coming up Thursday is Military Day, anyone that comes in their Military uniform, or has a Military ID will get in free and get tickets in the North Grand Stands for free.
