Be a Part of the Greeley Stampede Independence Day Parade
“The Independence Day Parade is one of the great traditions of our event,” said Greeley Stampede General Manager, Justin Watada, “and 2017 promises to be one of the biggest and best 4th of July Parades yet.”
About the Parade
It is difficult to imagine summer in Greeley without thinking of the Greeley Stampede Independence Day Parade. Anyone who has looked to the sky as the planes signaled the beginning of the parade or watched with a nervous excitement as the longhorns strut through the streets knows the nostalgic pride of this tradition. The annual parade showcases more than 130 entries all out to celebrate the patriotic event with everything ranging from marching bands gathered from across the country to local car clubs to floats decorated in red, white and blue. Attracting tens of thousands of eager spectators, the Greeley Stampede Independence Day Parade is one of the largest 4th of July Parades in the nation. Floats, bands and equestrian entries from all over Colorado and many surrounding states join together to celebrate our Nation’s Independence and Colorado’s Western heritage. The parade runs north along historic 10th Avenue starting amidst the beautiful University of Northern Colorado campus at 19th Street and ends on 5th Street beyond historic Lincoln Park. The parade kicks off at 9 a.m. sharp on Tuesday, July 4th.
The Greeley Stampede is now accepting applications for entries into the Independence Day Parade scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 4th, 2017 beginning at 9am. New entries and familiar faces alike must submit an entry form to be considered for the 2017 parade lineup. Accepted entries will receive a confirmation as well as additional staging information via email. Entry fees increase June 1st, and the deadline for parade applications is Friday, June 16th, 2017.
