RODEOS FOR A CAUSE: MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY
The Greeley Stampede’s Rodeos for a Cause series third event was tonight with Military Appreciation Day sponsored by Noble Energy and rodeo sponsor Burris Optics Company with more than 7,300 people in attendance. During the event, special recognition was given to Honor Flight Northern Colorado an organization dedicated to ensuring all veterans from World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War and Purple Heart recipients have the opportunity to visit their respective memorial. From each regularly priced ticket sold to tonight’s rodeo, one dollar will be donated to Honor Flight Northern Colorado. The event started with a fly over of a C-130 courtesy of Wyoming National Air National Guard.
Listed as a Top-25 Pro Rodeo according to purse size, the Stampede is famous for having a topnotch performance. The Greeley Stampede Rodeo features eight exciting events during every performance: Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling, Tie-Down Roping, Barrel Racing, Mutton Bustin, and Bull Riding.

ABOUT THE GREELEY STAMPEDE: The Greeley Stampede, a 501(c)4 nonprofit corporation, is the Colorado’s premiere summer western celebration.
